Dartmouth vs Harvard

The rivalry between Dartmouth and Harvard began in 1892 and is one of the oldest rivalries in college football. The Big Green won their first game against Harvard at Harvard Stadium’s dedication in 1903, and the rivalry has been a fierce one ever since. Make sure to be in attendance when the Big Green and Crimson square off as there are always a lot of bragging rights on the line.

Yale handed Dartmouth one of the most lopsided victories in college football history during the first meeting between these schools in 1884 when the Bulldogs defeated the Big Green 113-0. Since then the rivalry has been much closer making every visit by the Bulldogs to Hanover a must-see.

Dartmouth offers a relaxed tailgating atmosphere that is perfect if you want to sit back and enjoy a meal and a few drinks with friends. The fans here are friendly, and you’ll have no problem starting up conversations about the team if you start talking with your neighbors. You won’t find any of the wild party atmosphere you’ll see at other schools, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing especially if you’re bringing the kids to the game.

If you want to tailgate at Dartmouth, then the Thompson Arena parking lot is the place to do so. Parking here cost $10 making it quite the bargain as far as tailgating lots go.

Dartmouth’s Memorial Field is a beautiful place to take in a football game. Not only does the historic stadium have a fantastic old school charm it also gives you an incredible view of the Dartmouth campus and New Hampshire fall foliage.
