The two New York-based rivals first met in 1995 and since then have established a fierce rivalry. Seawolves Town is home to tons of kids activities including face painting, balloon animals, inflatables, and much more, making it the perfect place to take the kids before the game.
Those of you who are looking for a more traditional tailgating experience filled with grilling out and drinking will enjoy The Lot. The Lot is the student tailgate area and is a great place to throw back some beers with friends and hang out before the game.
Finally, no matter which group you fit into you won’t want to miss Wolfie’s Walk before the game. Wolfie’s Walk gives you the chance to see your favorite Stony Brook players up close and give them some last minute support before they enter the stadium.

In Game
Stony Brook may not be the first team you think of when you think of college football, but don’t tell the fans here that as they come out in large numbers to support their team. You’ll see a sea of red inside Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium as Seawolves fans pack the stadium to cheer their team on during Saturdays throughout the fall.
No area of the stadium is more vocal in their support though than The Red Zone. The Stony Brook students go all out to cheer on their team and all throughout the game you’ll hear cheers and chants coming from the Red Zone. If you want to experience a Stony Brook game at its best, then make sure to get a seat near the Red Zone as it’s easily the loudest part of the stadium on game days.
In addition to fantastic fan support, Stony Brook is also home to a wonderful band and excellent spirit groups. The Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band puts on an amazing show and keeps spirits high inside the stadium with their tunes. Wolfie and the cheerleaders are also a big part of the in-game experience as they do a great job of pumping up the crowd at key times with their cheers and chants.

The Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band
The Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band puts on quite the performance at Seawolves games. The band’s pregame and halftime shows are must-sees, and their presence can be felt all throughout the game making them a big part of the in-game atmosphere.
The Red Zone
The Stony Brook student section, known as The Red Zone, does a fantastic job of supporting the Seawolves. These diehard fans make it difficult for any visiting team to come away with the W, so enjoy their cheers and chants throughout the game.
